Be Fearless

"You must be fearless!"- Victoria, adolescent and grown up bff. She always knows just what to say during every day events. I met up with her this weekend (much needed!) and I'm so glad that we did because she inspires me to be a better person. This last week, I got some discouraging news. I have Keratoconus. It sounds cool, right? It just means my cornea is changing shapes and needs to be corrected before it gets worse and I lose some vision. So, I was a big girl about this whole thing- went to a specialist, ordered my new contacts, and figured that I will be fearless. I never let my disease get in the way of my life and I'm not about to start now!

First things first, be fearless with me!! Life is too beautiful to not live it to the best of our abilities! I am thankful I live in a country where I can receive swift medical attention!

I'm sorry. You're so upbeat! So besides the contacts, do you need surgery, too? My grandma has diabetes and she's had to have lots of eye surgeries.
